Posture Exercises – Good Posture Maintenance

Posture exercises would really give you a form of maintenance to your body posture. It is a much better way to do rather than to feel conscious every day; thinking that you might be on the hunched position again.

Nowadays, proper posture has always been a problem. With the way of leaving we have now, we do not know how and why posture is very important. Spending for a long period of time in front of the computers seem to be a normal scenario to some of us; even working at the office, playing computer games, communicating using the internet and researching for some things that got our attentions. Even for watching televisions or driving our cars, posture has been an issue.

There are four types of posture exercises that you can perform every day. First in the list is the so called cervical retraction that is good for the neck muscles. It is done by simply pushing your chin backward and allowing to move your neck back and fort. Moving your breast up and down, and moving your shoulders backward that is good for trapezius muscles is called as the shoulder blade squeeze.

For people who worry of having hunched back and bulgy tummy, abdominal pull-in will do. It is the simplest form of posture exercise. All you need to do is to do an inhale and exhale routine while tucking your tummy.

To maintain your good shoulder posture, one of the posture exercises called shoulder blade squeeze is the right thing to do. How to do it? Try to relax your body and gently squeeze your shoulders backwards. In this manner, your shoulder will be on its right level to avoid your back to hunch. And for your bulgy tummy, posture exercise called abdominal pull-in is the best for you. It’s very easy to do, just pull your stomach in for several times and doing an inhale and exhale movement.

For some people who are diagnosed of having severe posture condition, posture exercises are not truly recommended. There are some instances that instead of helping the patient to gain its normal posture, sometimes, it could give an added factor to worsen the problem. Instead of doing the exercises, doctors advised to wear some posture corrector braces or posture vest. In this way, the patient is protected from having additional neck or back pain and helping them also to correct their posture. Posture exercises is not a treatment, it is a sort of maintenance for those who wants to maintain their good posture.
